Yellow Day

This morning we had another color monster waiting on our desk for us when we arrived.  We also worked independently to finish the writing prompt on the back side of our paper about something that is yellow.

We got off to a bit of  a late start with the rest of our yellow day activities.  One of the speakers to the Promethean board is finally working so we were able to do calendar and learn many new songs to help reinforce some of our math skills.  Then we  learned the importance of being yourself and making good choices with the story Dandelion by Don Freeman. We also made cute Lion art project.   As we worked we enjoyed  a bag full of buttery {yellow} popcorn from Laney and her family.DSCN1782DSCN1770DSCN1771 DSCN1772 DSCN1774 DSCN1776 DSCN1777 DSCN1780  DSCN1783 After our morning recess we read In My New Yellow Shirt by Hideko Takahashi.  Then we made a class book about all the things we could be in our yellow shirts.  What great imaginations we have!!!DSCN1785 DSCN1786 DSCN1787

Before we headed out to catch the bus we had time for one last yellow story called Gus the Bus
