Pink Day

Today we read a fabulous pink story called Pinkalicious and made a pink cupcake shaped book about things that are pink. Several of our kindergarten sight words were in the book so everyone practiced reading it aloud with a partner when they were finished writing.pinkalicious-cover DSCN1883DSCN1885DSCN1887DSCN1884DSCN1890DSCN1896 DSCN1898  DSCN1894

We even had pink cupcakes for a snack.  They were “pinkalicious”!!!DSCN1895

We also got to listen to Pigs by Robert Munsch on Tumblebooks.  Then we did a few beginning sound pig worksheets before lunch. Pigs DSCN1902 DSCN1901

Before we went home we read Double Pink by Kate Feiffer and Land of Pink by Roy Sanders. We learned that you can make pink by mixing red and white.
