Yesterday for “Orange Day” we read The Cats Colors by Jane Cabrera. Then we made a cat book of our own about things that are orange. We worked hard to sound spell all of our orange words and add details to our pictures.
We also read The Big Orange Splot by Daniel Manus Pinkwater and painted a picture of our dream house, just like Mr. Plumbean did in the story.
Here’s a {sneak} peek of a few of our dream houses. We have some pretty good imaginations!!! At the end of the day our para Mary read us one last orange story called Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes. We learned about bullying and how it affects our friends at school. We also practiced writing our first and last name neatly and created a math problem to see who had the longest name in our class.
