The last few days have been full of pink and purple projects. For some reason the girls have just loved everything we have done!!!
On “Purple Day” we read Lily’s Purple Plastic Purse by Kevin Henkes and practiced sequencing events from the story then we made our very own purple paper purse to put our stories in. We also worked on making predictions as we read the story.
On “Pink Day” we read a fabulous pink story called Pinkalicious and made pink cupcake shaped books about things that are pink. Several of our kindergarten sight words were in the book we made so everyone practiced reading the book aloud when they were finished writing. We also read Double Pink by Kate Feiffer and Land of Pink by Roy Sanders. We learned that you can make pink by mixing red and white. Tanner brought us strawberry Frosted Mini-Wheat’s.
