Leftover {Color} Day

On Friday we discovered that leftovers aren’t so bad after all.  We wrapped up the week, and our color unit, by finishing a few activities that we had run out of time for during the past few weeks.  The first book we read was Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson.  In the story Harold goes on an imaginary adventure armed with his oversized purple crayon.  We made our own adventure book with a purple crayon by letting our imaginations run wild just like Harold did.DSCN2039DSCN2040DSCN2041DSCN2044We also made a crayon box art project and put all of the colors neatly in the box.DSCN2045DSCN2046DSCN2048DSCN2049         Before we went to lunch we had fun listening to a song called The Color Farm and made a book to go along with it.  A few students helped out by holding up funny colored animal cards as we sang.  DSCN2053DSCN2051DSCN2054DSCN2056  DSCN2057
