On Tuesday we finished up the last few 100th day of school things that I had planned. Everyone brought a baggie full of 100 items to use for a math lesson. First we practiced counting our objects by 1’s. Then we put them into groups and counted them by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s with a partner. Finally we put them away (and ate a few) and practiced writing our number to 100 by 2’s, 5’s & 10’s.
Tuesday was also Groundhog day so after reading a story about a Groundhog we got online and watched a video clip of Punxsutawney Phil and found out if he saw his shadow. Unfortunately he did so it looks like we will have another 6 weeks of winter!!!
