On Thursday we had our Fall Party. Everyone brought their costume to school and then we changed into them at the end of the day. Here’s a little peek at all of us dressed up just before we paraded around the school.
We just read Junie B. Jones and the Yucky Blucky Fruitcake a few weeks ago. In the story Junie B. gets to participate in a cake walk at her school carnival. Most of the kids in our class had NO idea what a cake walk was . . . so our fabulous room parents planned a Halloween themed cake {and goody} walk as one of our activities. We paraded around the band room all dressed up to some spooky music. When the music stopped a number was drawn and the winner won a special treat. Here is a picture of our first winner . . . check out the adorable Monica’s Bundt Cake that he won!!!After the cake walk we headed back to our classroom for some spooky treats. We had monster eyeball cookies, gummy worms and monster mouths made out of apple slices and almonds.
Thank you so much to all of the parents {and grandparents} who sent items and joined us for the party.
