Our Class Blog

I am so excited to be starting a classroom blog. This will give me the chance to share many of the exciting things that we are doing here in our busy 1st grade classroom with you, as well as remind you about upcoming events. There are also links available to many of the websites that we use here at school as well as parent resources. Please post your comments to share with other families.




Today we began a fun week full of gingerbread man activities. This is always one of my favorite times of the year. We will read several versions of the gingerbread man story throughout the week and finish up on Friday with a big art/writing activity. Look for pictures and work samples to be posted next week.


If you have any versions of the story at home feel free to let your child bring them to share with the class.

Dont' forget . . . All field trip money and signed permission slips for our upcoming music trip to Crown Uptown are due by Wednesday, December 3rd. The cost is $6.50 per student, that price includes a buffet lunch.

Each child also needs to bring 1 yard of Christmas fabric for a special project we will be working on in class. I still need parent volunteers to help cut the fabric. Please let me know if you are available to help out.
