Learning About Plants

Last week we spent the week learning about plants.  We learned that plants need air, sunlight, soil and water to survive.  We also learned about the parts of a plant and what they do.  

On Friday we read Jack and the Beanstalk and did several fun activities to go along with the story. 

We practiced using the dictionary to look up words from the story.

We also read Jim and the Beanstalk and  made “Royal Rulers” to measure items in our classroom in inches and centimeters.

We also used dictionaries to look up words from the story and practiced our calendar skills by using a calendar with events from the story to answer questions.
