This and That

We have been working very hard for almost a week now on a special Christmas gift to bring home.  Thanks to so many days of cold weather we have been using nearly all of our indoor recess time to work.  Many of us are finally finished, so this morning we put the finishing touches on our project and decorated  a gift bag.  They are ready to come home tonight.  Hopefully they will all survive the bus ride home!!!     Even though everyone is excited about Christmas we are still working very hard at center time each afternoon.  This week we are decorating a Christmas tree by matching numerals and number words, ordering numbers from least to greatest (0-80), solving Christmas subtraction problems, matching and stamping sets of coins using dimes and pennies, ordering sets of Christmas lights by 2’s, 5’s & 10’s, sorting short vowel words and listening to some fun holiday stories.
