Today we read the “original” story of the Gingerbread Boy and then we read a new tale called The Gingerbread Girl by Lisa Campbell Ernst. It is about what happens when the lonely old man and the lonely old woman gather up enough courage to bake again. 
After listening to both stories we completed a Venn Diagram about the differences and similarities between the Gingerbread Boy and Girl.
Then this afternoon during centers we all got the chance to make our very own Gingerbread Boy and Girl. Check out how creative everyone was.
